Peter Riegert Scroll down for movie list. Biography from Leonard Maltin's Movie Encyclopedia:
This youthful character actor (and occasional lead) is an alumnus of the War Babies improvisational comedy troupe. He made his big-screen debut as one of the debauched frat brothers in National Lampoon's Animal House (1978). Since then, he has scored as an oil-company yuppie businessman in Local Hero (1983), the earnest pickle vendor in Crossing Delancey (1988), and a cigarchomping majordomo to gangster Sylvester Stallone in the farcical Oscar (1991). In 1993 he had key roles in two of the most watched TV movies of the year: Barbarians at the Gate (as the overreaching financial dealmaker), and Gypsy (as Bette Midler's long-suffering agent and perennial fiancˇ). | |
