Biography from Leonard Maltin's Movie Encyclopedia:
If her hyperkinetic lip-synching of "And Then He Kissed Me," performed under the opening credits of Adventures in Babysitting (1987), is the most memorable thing this wholesome, girl-next-door-pretty blonde has yet contributed to the screen, it's hardly her fault. Her effective supporting turns in The Marrying Man and Soapdish (both 1991) suggest she has a barely tapped reservoir of comedic skill. To date she's taken a backseat to many of her male costars: She was Ralph Macchio's romantic interest in The Karate Kid (1984), Tom Cruise's in Cocktail (1988), and Michael J. Fox's in Back to the Future Part II (1989) and Part III (1990). Even more embarrassingly, she was upstaged by a lust-crazed chimp in Link (1986)! Other credits include Heart and Souls and Twenty Bucks (both 1993). | |
