Kevin Kline is always funny. A look at the soaps and acting that I found quite fun. Watch for Terry Hatcher in a small, but pivotal role.

Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: |
Farcical comedy about a soap opera queen who's losing her grip--on the show, and her life. Field and Kline are a treat to watch playing larger-than-life characters, but Whoopi is wasted, Downey is miscast, and the script (by Robert Harling and Andrew Bergman) thinks "frantic" equals "funny." Any one scene in TOOTSIE tops this hands down. Leeza Gibbons' best film work to date; John Tesh also appears.

Excellent play and movie. Funny, resourcefull spoof on soap operas and how art imitates life. Kevin Kline is hilarious as usual, the lines where he's not wearing his glasses are side splitting. Funny from start to finish, well done, excellent cast. Innuendos abound but no nudity and little swearing. All in all a wonderful movie!
