Terrific story. Great over the top performance by Montolban. This makes up for the terrible first one in the series.

Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: |
Kirk and the Enterprise crew must do battle with the nefarious villain of 1967's ``Space Seed'' episode. A bit hokey and pretentious at times, but a likable adventure overall, with nice touches of warmth and humor. Footage added for network showings. Originally released without the ``II'' in its title. Panavision.

GREAT FILM. The best in the series! Montalban puts in a great performance as the evil Khan. The entire cast is terrific, including the unaccredited Judson Earney Scott (as Joachim, Khan's assistant, although many fans speculate that he could also be his son). Shatner's not bad either. Terrific script and direction by Nicholas Meyer. Perfectly blends sci-fi, suspense, Moby Dick, Shakespeare, and submarine thriller into one package. Recommended for those who haven't seen Star Trek before.
