Mine: |
Preposterous and dull thriller. It is amazing to think that later on Clint directed movies like "Unforgiven". This is poorly written, acted and directed. It depends on cold war politics for whatever suspense it does generate, I would guess that it has lost some these days.

Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: |
Lamentably dull, slow-moving espionage yarn, with Eastwood as burned-out U. S. pilot who goes behind Russian lines to steal the Soviets' latest aeronautic marvel: a supersonic fighting plane. Jones wins the Charles Laughton Award for Eccentric Performances. Originally released at 137m. Panavision.
