Mine: |
Predictable, but fun because of Walter Matthau's performance. The jokes are all telegraphed, but I still laughed. The man in is a genius. Always nice to see Lea Thompson as well.

Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: |
Unconscionable, jerry-built ripoff of the HOME ALONEs from John Hughes, based on Hank Ketcham's long-running comic strip, with the blond rascal's skirmishes with cantankerous neighbor Mr. Wilson (Matthau) a mere warmup to this more Culkin-ian climactic punch-out of a robber/derelict (Lloyd). Fun for under-8's and well served by its cast, but still a desperate collection of crotch and flatulence jokes. Followed by a direct-to-video sequel: DENNIS THE MENACE STRIKES AGAIN.
