Batman Poster
Primary Location: First Saw:In Theatre Saw at/with: With Jessica at Midnight Preview at Showcase North Haven
Rating: PG-13 Year: 1989 Category: Thriller Fantasy
Director: Tim Burton Time: 126 min. Writer: Bob Kane & Sam Hamm

Mine: I was really disappointed in this move. The plotting is stupid. Some ot the look of it is good, but Keaton is terrible. Nicholson spends a lot of time over the top, but is never fun to watch. A lot of money spent to very little effect.
Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: There's razzle-dazzle to spare in this dark, intense variation on Bob Kane's comic book creation--but there's also something askew when the villain (a particularly psychotic villain, played overboard by Nicholson) is so much more potent than the hero! Still, lots to grab your attention, including Anton Furst's Oscar-winning production design and Danny Elfman's terrific score. Prince contributes several songs. Followed by BATMAN RETURNS.

this movie was all it was hyped up to be. micheal keaton proved his critics wrong by giving a helluva performance. i think jack nicholson did a good job, but he kinda went over the top. terrific score by danny elfman, but i coulda used without the prince songs. the lighting was perfect and the set designs were tremendous. this is one of the top superhero movies out there. if u like this movie, try BATMAN RETURNS but avoid BATMAN AND ROBIN.
