Mine: |
A great time. Wonderfully acted, charmingly written, a joy from beginning to end. Quite funny. Toni and Nia are great, David understated as always. A top notch way to spend a hour and a half. The drag elements have been done before, notably in 'Some Like It Hot" and "Victor/Victoria", this owes much to both, but still stands on its own. The style of the movie is quite different. Filled with easy charm.

Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: |
A mob mix-up in Chicago sends two chanteuses screaming for L.A., where they score a perfect gig: posing as drag queens on the dinner theater/cabaret circuit. Things get extra-weird when a guy falls for one of the girls.
