Very well told, if quite depressing story. Quaid and Moore are top notch. I think that Julieanne Moore is best actress working today! Any time people start to wax nostalgic about the good old days, they should be sent to see this movie. The lives that these people in 50's Connecticut live is not a good one, an incredibly confining existence. The story is told without any sarcasm or irony and so is really powerful.
