Kind of lousy. I have really like the other Jack Ryan movies, but this one did not work for me. First it does not fit with the story line of the other three movies! Confusing. Maybe because of the real life terror we know of, the terror here seem either too real or too terrifying to make a good thriller with. A thriller should be exciting and fun, here the terror with a diry nuclear bomb is just unsettling. Not good as a thriller and do we really need a cautionary tail about demented men and what they might do? I was particuarlly put off by the ending, **** Spoiler ahead ***** in which the bad guys are killed in quite and secret. I would think that as public an exposer as possible would be the smart and correct think to do. It is the secrecy of nations that feeds the conspircy theory folks.

UPON SEEING THE MOVIE, I IMMEDIATELY KNEW THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE MOVIE AND THE
THE BOOK. I FEEL THAT THE MOVIE SHOULD HAVE FOLLOWED THE BOOK MUCH MORE CLOSELY.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE PARTS OF THE BOOK WAS THE CONFRONTATION BETWEEN JACK AND THE
PRESIDENTS FEMALE ADVISOR AND WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN HER AND JACK'S WIFE.
IN CONCLUSION.... THIS MOVIE IS GOOD BUT BY FOLLOWING THE BOOL MORE CLOSELY THE
MOVIE COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER.
