The Coen brother are maybe the more inventive film makers of the last 20 years. Here again they are intersting and do something different. One of the things I really liked about this movie is that I never new where it was going. Thornton gives a facinating performance. THe black and white photography is terrific. Quite dark, but often slyly humorous. One of the best of 2001.
