At time the scenery is interesting in this muddled mess, but that is about it. Sad that they did not feel that a strait forward action movie would have been enough. Here they feel the need to give Laura Croft the desire to be reunited with her father and that drives her. Is it because she is a women that the writers don't think that she has just the love of adventure to drive her? The movie has no humor at all. I don't think that there is a single speaking female role in this movie other than Laura Croft, strange. It is never fun to watch! The villian is dull. The side kicks are forgettable. Really nothing to recommend this movie. It may appeal to the 15 year old boy crowd, but that is it.
