Unique and interesting movie. Kevin Smith has a unique view and a very funny one. Not for those who don't like bad language.

Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: |
Black and white, $27,000 wonder by first-time filmmaker Kevin Smith is a brash, foul-mouthed, often very funny look at a day in the lives of a New Jersey convenience-store clerk and his abrasive pal, who mans the video place next door--when he feels like it. Well written and well acted; certainly more provocative and entertaining than many glossy Hollywood movies of the 90s.

this is one of my favorite kevin smith movie. he did a great job for such a low budget. Brian O'Halloran gives a great performance as Dante and Jeff Anderson's Randal is the complete antithesis of Dante. Randal is one of the funniest characters in smith's films. Props to walt flanagan for pulling off four different roles.
