Lame. The only spark if provided by Joan Cusack as the best friend. No chemisty between the leads. Goofy, but not in a good way.

Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: |
Slick romantic comedy about a newspaper columnist who becomes intrigued by a small-town Maryland woman who repeatedly leaves grooms at the altar. Reteaming of the stars and director of PRETTY WOMAN delivers the goods, with Gere in particular more engaging than he's ever been onscreen.

Without even going into depth with all the major plot problems, isn't Richard Gere getting a little too old for the Prince Charming roles? Plus, I'm not too into him as an actor. I just didn't like this movie.
