Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: |
Learning her husband has been unfaithful, Bullock moves back to her Texas hometown, taking along her lonely daughter, Whitman. Her mother immediately tries to set her up with Connick, but Bullock is having a hard time just learning about herself. Well acted, particularly by Whitman, with inventive direction, the movie is entertaining throughout, but as shapeless as soup. Excellent song score. Rosanna Arquette appears unbilled. Coexecutive-produced by Bullock.
