This is one of those movies that I am reall sad that I did not get to see in the theatre. I liked it, but think that I missed the real experiance. Great direction, top notch story.

Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: |
Old-fashioned adventure and derring-do from Kipling via Huston: two British soldier-pals try to bamboozle high priests of remote Kafiristan into turning over their riches by convincing them that Connery is a god. Caine and Connery are ideal, script is superb, and film is entertaining, if not quite in the realm of GUNGA DIN. Panavision.
