Exciting, beautifully filmed. A classic of the swashbuckling genre. Highly recommended.
Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis:
Delightful tongue-in-cheek version of Dumas classic, mixing swashbuckling adventure and romance with broad slapstick. One of Raquel Welch's finest hours. Followed by THE FOUR MUSKETEERS, which was actually filmed simultaneously, and THE RETURN OF THE MUSKETEERS (1989).
EXCELLENT, the best adaption of the Three Musketeers films. Richard Lester is an excellent director, bringing comedy to a swashbuckling story. Superb cast in a superb film, enough said.
