Good comedy. Nice to see Winkler working against type. Michael Keaton bursts on the screan with a ton of enery. I am not sure that he is ever as good again.

Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: |
A nebbish takes a night job at the city morgue, seeking peace and quiet, but his new assistant draws him into wild scheme to start a prostitution business! Delightful, good-natured comedy (despite seamy subject matter) sharply directed by Howard, written with verve by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel. (Soundtrack also features Rod Stewart introducing ``That's What Friends Are For,'' years before it became a hit. ) Winkler has never been better; Keaton's smash debut performance made him an instant star. Is this a great country or what? Look for Kevin Costner as an extra.

I think this is the funniest movie I have seen in a long time. The funniest part I think is when chuck and bill were riding on the subway and Bill was persuading Chuck to go in "the Biz" and when Bill got off the subway he runs up to the Window and yells "LOVE BROKERS".
I love this movie. Michael Keaton is awesome.
