Delightful exploration of the border between sanity and insanity. Stewart is great as usual.
Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis:
Stewart gives one of his best performances as tippler Elwood P. Dowd, whose companion is a six-foot invisible rabbit named Harvey (actually, he's 6 feet, 3 1/2 inches). Hull won Oscar as distraught sister. Mary Chase and Oscar Brodney adapted Chase's Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Hull, Horne, and White recreate their Broadway roles.
