Biography
Fran Drescher and her high school sweetheart, 'Peter Marc Jacobson', with who m she produces "The Nanny", were married in 1978. They have no children, but they do have a cute Pomeranian named Chester, who played himself in an episode of "The Nanny" (credited as Chester Drescher), and a cat called Marjorie. Drescher's accent gives away her native New York City, but home now is Los Angeles, where she has a three-bedroom Spanish-style house decorated mostly with garage-sale and close-out furniture. Her quiet neighborhood, she reports, is "very Leave-It-to-Beaverville".

Sold her Spanish house to Alfred Gough and now lives in Malibu.
She was admitted to Los Angeles's Cedars Sinai Hospital on 21 June 2000, after doctors diagnosed her with uterine cancer. But emergency surgery caught it early as it was only at Stage 1 and she didn't have to have radiation or chemotherapy. She has been given a clean bill of health and no post-operative treatment has been ordered.
