Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, David Andrews decided to take up acting. He set his career off in style by starring in the 1984 horror classic Nightmare On Elm Street, A (1984). For the rest of the 80s Andrews didn't have any major hits, mainly focusing on a TV career. In 1990 he starred in Stephan King's Graveyard Shift (1990). His career was boosted by starring in the US TV series "Mann & Machine" (1992). In 1995 he starred in classic the space adventure, Apollo 13 (1995) alongside Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon and Bill Paxton. In the late 90s Andrews concentrated on more television projects and starred in TV films such as Fifteen and Pregnant (1998) (TV), which also starred Spider-Man's Kristen Dunst and the hit TV film “Switched at Birth”.
1999 was a great year for Andrews, not only did he get the success from Switched at Birth (1999) (TV) but also Fight Club (1999) which starred Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. David started off the millennium by starring in Navigating the Heart (2000) (TV) before moving on to the sequel of the cannibal series, Hannibal (2001) starring Anthony Hopkins.
Recently Andrews has had two projects, Two Soldiers (2002) and Walk to Remember, A (2002). And finally, he is to star as Robert Brewster in this years summer smash hit, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003). | |
