Biography
Connie Nielsen grew up in Elling (Jutland, Denmark) and encouraged by her actress-writer mother she started stage acting at age 15. At age 18 she went to Paris and Rome to study drama where she accidentally got a minor role in Vacanze di Natale '91 (1992). Her first major Hollywood part was enchanting Keanu Reeves in Devil's Advocate, The (1997) and has since starred in big budget productions as Gladiator (2000) and One Hour Photo (2002) but has also had time for more interesting supporting roles as Mrs. Calloway in the independent movie Rushmore (1998).
Although some of the movies she has appeared in are not up to par (Soldier (1998), Mission to Mars (2000)) this stunning looking Danish actress always delivers a solid performance. She is currently living in New York with her husband and son. |  |
